We called at 10am to ask availebility for our caravan, they ensured us there was so we told them we would arrive around 16h00 and wanted tp stay for 5 nights.
So after a 5h30 hour drive we arrived at 15h30, and they told us they were booked out.
First come first serve. 😂😂
When i told them we called them in the morning and they ensured us a spot, they told us without blinking to try a camping down the street.
🤣🤣 what a place... 🤣🤣
Nice camping at a great location. Pitches are small toilets and showers are clean. The gentleman at the reception extremely unfriendly and rude. His behavior is unacceptable. If you are not willing to be insulted, don't go there and find another location !
Beautiful place. I guess this campsite has the best access to the lake. But I wonder why they don't recycle, at least I didn't find all the bins for different categories. There was only one big dumpster. If I'm wrong sorry but if it is please help for helping the environment. And I can't complain about the reception lady, she was ok with me but as I hear and see comments on her colleagues lacking of simple and basic respect as a host to clients or just person to person, you should improve on that subject. Thank you!
Very very rude staff.
After a long ride we arrived very late to Caldaro lake and haven't found any available place in area camper next to the camping. Unfortunately the camping by itself were already closed (we saw the gates closed), so we even didn't try to go to the ticket booth to see if someone was there.
So that we parked on the parking next to the camping and stayed there for a night. The morning after we went to Gretl am See camping to try our fortune and probably find a free space for our camper and explained everything to the guy who was there. But we were answered: "Yeah, I saw you parking yesterday, it's €25 euro for the night you stayed on our parking lot". Surely we were surprised, cuz the night before we didn't see any sign saying a customer should pay €25 just for staying on their parking.
So I asked the guy to show me that sign. Can you imagine how was he unsatisfied and angry that he had to stand up and walk us up to the sign, telling us: "Here it is, look!" the point is that sign was on all other way for the place we parked and trust me, you won't notice it during the night. Of course we paid. Oh yes, in that place were included all the facilities of the camping but only till 11 am (when we start our unfriendly conversation with the staff it was around 9 am).
Probably the camping was beautiful by itself, I don't know, in the end we didn't even enter inside, but when you're treated in that way, there's no any willing to stay, paying YOUR own money.
Oh, and yes, in the end we managed to take a spot in the area camper San Giuseppe, which was very cool with all facilities needed. Highly recommended that one but not Gretl am See!
Awesome location. Staff is friendly.
Nobody at the reception was speaking english, only italian and german. This cannot happen in a camp like this, it is just unbelieveable. We were forced to go to another much smaller camp and they were speakin very good english. So if you dons speak italian or german don't bother going to that camp.
Very nice place with beatiful views.
Loved the view and you can either walk or bike around a lot of restaurant around and cool water for swimmers
